St. Louis on TVGuest post by Lauren Dare, Communications Officer.

That title sounds like an up-and-coming reality show, doesn’t it. Today, I left Ian to hold down the fort at ECO-UNESCO HQ and got to meet the St. Louis Birdwatchers. I know, Ian was there yesterday, but today we were meeting with a film crew from RTE’s ICE programme to film a segment about the Young Environmentalist Awards.

Preparing for the CamerasIt was great meeting with the girls and hearing more about their project. Just as they were explaining the different birdhouses, a couple of robins showed up! Excellent timing! It wasn’t a bad way to spend a Friday afternoon—filming outside in the lovely school gardens, learning more about TV production and getting to be in the spotlight for a day!

BirdwatchingKeep an eye out for the segment featuring wacky reporter, Blake Geneva, and the St. Louis group as they explain their project and results. It should appear on Wednesday 13 May at 4:35 on RTE.
